Shane Butler
Shane began his diving career at LBCC in 1990 and still holds the school records on both the 1m and 3m boards. Following, he received a scholarship to CSU Bakersfield where he placed 3rd at NCAA Division II championships. Shane earned a bachelor of science degree in Physical Education and a master of science degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. He was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and currently lives in Seal Beach. He is married with 5 children and has had the awesome opportunity to coach his son and daughter at the national level.
Coaching career
Shane has coached Los Alamitos High School Dive for 24 years. He has won more league championships than any other sport in LAHS history with several divers attending CIF-SS finals each year. In 24 seasons he has had more divers named league diver of the year than any other school. Shane is the current LBCC coach. Shane also coached the Cypress College dive team for 8 years and was named coach of the year twice, at the state level, while his divers have been named diver of the year at both the college and state level. Shane has also coached at the local and national level for 2 prominent diving coaches and clubs.

Our Programs
Lessons - One day per week 4:00-5:00 pm $125 per month
Two days per week 4:00-5:00 pm $200 per month
Tuesday dryland $10 per week
Must know how to swim 25 meters without assistance
$120 non-refundable annual administrative fee due January 1st of each year and prorated monthly based on join date.
Competition Teams
Novice - Four days per week 4:00-6:00 pm including conditioning/dryland on Fridays ($10 additional charge for Tuesday dryland)
$ 350 per month
$240 non-refundable annual administrative fee due January 1st of each year and prorated monthly based on join date.
JO - Five days per week 4:00-7:00 pm including conditioning/dryland practice
$425 per month
$360 non-refundable annual administrative fee due January 1st of each year and prorated monthly based on join date.
Coaches travel fees are split evenly between all divers attending the events. This includes transportation to and from event, hotel, and meals.
